OWN THE STAGE

Steal the Stage is an initiative spearheaded by Susan Augustt and Hannah Standiford, who met at the maiden edition of OneBeat Ghana sponsored by the U.S. Embassy. OwnThatStage! will occur in Accra-Ghana, and StageCraft in Pittsburgh-Pennsylvania, United States of America. Our mission is to create a space for young artists ,predominantly women, to build their voice and confidence through the art of staged performance in music (whether as singers or instrumentalists). They will learn the skills they need to create a compelling staged performance and engage their audiences. We will collaboratively create a well-rounded and structured curriculum that will teach performers how to capture their audiences to create an unforgettable experience. This will enable them to draw in a number of performance opportunities both within their local area and on a global scale, while establishing long-lasting and viable creative professions.
